:-) If people would like to draw or paint brand-new FK art at any time, they would be very welcome! :-)
Yes, I'm thinking of recommendations only, not of creating new items. Four recommendations are the minimum required for a monthly sign-up in this community (one per week).
Almost all the artworks recommended in this community are high-quality paintings or drawings. I've seen a few textile/fiber constructs recommended, also. Usually, the rec subjects were archived on Deviantart (which seems presently to be to visual fandom what the AO3 is to narrative fandom). I've never seen a manip recommended, myself, though technically they're permitted; I'd want any recommended manip to be highly transformed (much more than a collage).
From their community statement: "You can rec drawn and painted fanart (whether traditional or digital media), photomanips, sculptures, fiber art, etc. Multimedia works that have a significant fanart component are also okay to rec, e.g. fan comics or story illustrations. You cannot rec fanfic, vids, icons, picture macros, costume designs, or fannish music/audio productions."
