Because of the assignments? Yes, I can see that. (I'm afraid that the one I received didn't include an FK prompt, and while of course that's the fair risk of a multi-fandom event, and I'll do everything I can for the requestor -- and I wouldn't have said I could write the other fandom if I couldn't! I can! -- I admit I'm a little disappointed.)

Oh, wow! Magnificent! That was such a wonderful boost to read earlier this week; I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get back to LJ and reply to you. I'm looking forward to reading it, and to pointing it out to some Ravens I know.

If I participate there, I will take one of [livejournal.com profile] wiliqueen's prompts, but it will just barely hit the 1K-word minimum.

Thank you! I appreciate the encouragement. I rewrote the Lacroix scene, and the scene with the Dean, and tinkered elsewhere. I hope I got it right -- I'm posting to fkfic-l now, this weekend; I have yet to update the one on the ficathon, or to put it on my site; I should do so Saturday night or Sunday -- but I'm afraid the ending is still weaker than it should be. Ah, well. This is its moment, I think, if it will ever have a moment. (You've read it, so it wouldn't be a spoiler to say that I think it is a story for before this US election, if you see what I mean.)

Thank you again for reading "Fearful Symmetry," as well as for the prompt. I really appreciate it.
