Thank you so much for mentioning the ravines; I've learned a lot just from skimming the city site, the Wikipedia page, and the many gorgeous photos that turn up so easily on Google image search. I truly hadn't known anything about them before.

The iconic skyline from the lake side hides so much! (It's a lot like when I fuss about people thinking they've really experienced my home state from the cruise ships. ~grin~)
