I'm unfamiliar with the Marvel Comics, but in FK it was the episode 1966, that started it all. It was the sensitivity with which the flashback was handled that endeared me to the show. It was one of the first North American shows I encountered that acknowledged the German reunification, and I was impressed. The characters and overall plot came secondary.
