Cory is fun - he was deliberately annoying as a character, but his Watcher CD backstory puts him in much more intriguing light than what he got in the series. He's Matthew McCormick's first student, when Matthew was 50 years old and sheriff of Nottingham (yes, that one), which makes Cory Robin Hood (his birth name is Corwin a'Green). Matthew arrested him, hanged him, and then cut him down and took him as a student. Cory doesn't care who wins the Game and would sell popcorn at the final fight if he happened to be there. He and Amanda are basically chaotic good, which makes them absolutely fun characters to put into situations. I fell in love with Cory after realizing he makes such good plot potential in fic. Need someone not Amanda to cause chaos but do it for good reasons? Bring in Cory! ;-)
