Beat me to it! :-p

This article was such a pleasant surprise. It really made me smile. It also made me want to start chanting "One of us! One of us!" regarding the author, lol.

I remember falling down the Internet rabbit hole a long time ago reading about CanCon so it amused me that something so niche (at least to Americans) made it into the article.

I love that it pointed out how Toronto got to be Toronto and that the show made liberal use of its locations, especially with the shout out to the CN Tower and the Factory Theatre. The later is an interesting highlight considering that most people point out the use of Sam the Record Man during Nick's night time drives.

And Ger getting some love for his performance in Slings & Arrows is always fun and, yes, it should be acknowledged more that Ger as Nick was extremely hot.

There are so many wonderful lines in the article, you highlighted some great ones, but I'm particularly drawn to "They don't have the moody, charming, and slightly crummy character of shows like Forever Knight" when compared to current crop of Canadian shows. It's part of the appeal of FK to me. They didn't have the budget that American shows had, but the production team and especially the actors were able to take this outlandish premise and make something that still holds significant entertainment value today. That's more important to me, as a viewer, then the slickest, high budget shows of today. Lot's of shows have money to burn, not all of them are better for it.
