2021 Fanfiction year-in-review

Now that HLH_Shortcuts has revealed, I'd like to share my list of stories posted in '21. Five is more in a single year than I've completed in a very long time. Part of that may be the renewed availability of compatible exchanges! Part may be longing to be more involved with all of you.

I seem to have been into missing scenes this past year:

  • FK: "Bright with Anticipation" (G, gen, 550 words) (April)
Just because. Self-indulgent happy Easter canon-divergence starring Father Rochefort (from "For I Have Sinned"), with Nick, Schanke, and Natalie.

  • FK: "Say Otherwise" (T, gen, ~3K words) (May)
FKFicFest. Missing scene to fill and reinterpret some of the most egregious holes in "Trophy Girl," starring Tracy, with her mom, Reese, and Nick.

  • FK: "For the Living" (G, gen, ~2K words) (July)
Every Woman Exchange. Canon-compliant workday with Natalie's team, off-screen inside "Cherry Blossoms," starring Natalie, with Grace and Eddie.

  • BSG78: "The Field Trip" (G, gen, ~5K words) (September)
Retro TV Exchange. Near-post-canon mild adventure with some introspection, angst, and sibling issues, starring Apollo, with Athena, Starbuck, Cassiopeia, and a little Boxey.

  • HL: "Legend Has It" (G, gen, ~3K words) (December)
HLH_Shortcuts. One missing scene and two rewritten scenes. Mainly a conversation between Darius and Richie immediately after "Band of Brothers," but also a fix-it for "Archangel" with Methos, Duncan, and Joe, because: because.

Unposted, I did draft and fool with a pile of assorted tiny snippets, some maybe worth polishing up and expanding, most definitely not. And I started that rare-pair D&DC story and got ... checking ... 1,117 typed words into it, plus some handwritten notes. I would definitely like to finish and share that this year.

Thank you for coming along for the ride!
