These days, I believe that PBS Passport usually makes an entire season of a Masterpiece show available at once to supporters/subscribers only (restriction shown by the little icon in the corner of the episode's thumbnail), and then makes each episode available to the general public for 2 weeks from the day they air it (public availability shown by removing the icon).

But it definitely varies by show (presumably, due to contracts with the producers and partner companies).
