While I'm happy with fanvids, fanfic, and library manga :-) I am indeed presently planning on buying a Switch II. (March-ish, folks seem to think?) It's just far too late in Switch I's lifecycle to justify to myself buying one now, especially as backwards compatibility has been fully confirmed but forward-compatibility seems unlikely.
I looked into buying a Switch during the pandemic lockdowns, but they were all sold out at that time, and I told myself it was for the best, that I should invest my time more wisely, remember what happened the last time I let myself get sucked into video games (The Sims) when I didn't write a word of fanfic in the years I played... and then in the event I spent over a hundred hours watching Pokemon cartoons as my pandemic comfort escape, so: so much for that theory of using my time well! ;-)
I plan to make Echoes of Wisdom my first game to play on my Switch II. Fingers crossed that Nintendo will have a remaster/remake/port of Twilight Princess for me soon after that. We shall see! Probably the Wilds games, unless they've made/remade something else for the new system, in which case I will likely follow their release schedule.
(I played the original game on someone else's NES back in the late '80s. I did not beat it. ~grin~)
