FK Actor Greg Kramer, deceased

I'm shocked and saddened to learn that we've lost Greg Kramer, whom we all know for playing Screed in Forever Knight.

I heard in a thoughtful email from leela_cat, who had confirmed the news by finding this article: "‘Punk-rock renaissance man’ Greg Kramer dies on eve of rehearsals." As the article mentions, Kramer was a novelist, playwright, director, magician and all-around clever guy as well as an actor. Leela_cat shares a personal memory of him here. I never met him, myself, but I know several people who have, and none ever found him anything but delightful and enthusiastic.

We're poorer without him, and richer for having had him while we did.

That's a shock. I've never met him in person. Besides his role in FK I enjoyed seeing him in the John Woos'Once a Thief episode Drive, she said, which was a nice reunion of FK actors including the Caddy.

We are having our biannual gathering of German FK friends this weekend. I'm sure we will focus on episodes featuring Screed and raise a glass in his honour.

I hope that the gathering this weekend brings much fun and good companionship. It's very good to memorialize Mr. Kramer and the character he gave us.
