RarelyWritten assignments achieved
The
rarelywritten ficathon assignments have arrived at last! And because I did offer in three fandoms people requested (as well as offering in best-beloved fandoms that nobody requested ~wry~), you don't know for whom I'm writing! Well, unless you're
batdina, whom I told. ;-)
I believe that either
argentum_ls,
malinaldarose or
greerwatson must have my prompts. Be kind to them. :-)
And, hey, it's not too late! Didn't sign up in time for the exchange? You can still sign up to pinch hit! Several unmatchable slates went out to the pinch-hit list by email today, seeking claimants. Judging from past years, we'll see more throughout the run of the game as people drop out.
---
I believe that we've hit upon a happy method for this year's
fkficfest/
fkficfest, but I'm hoping to gather just a few more opinions before posting a final plan this weekend.

As a general rule, I'm not find of surprises. Indeed, they usually really upset me, personally. But for an exchange game, that much of an element of surprise -- not knowing for whom everyone is writing -- is part of the fun.

Yes, indeed, play this card close to your vest... ;-)

If it's not mine, let me know if you'd like to bat around ideas! I can sometimes ask the right dumb questions :-) to inspire wise story answers.

I hope that you enjoy the rewatch enormously. First is my personal favorite season, but second and third also contain so much. Their budgetary constraints make them more and more like a stage play, and thus so much more dependent on the acting, directing and writing. Sometimes, at this end of history, rewatching FK when I haven't for a while, I find myself floored by how much story they packed into an episode, under all the constraints of the '90s PTBs' dislike of arcs.
