yuletide_admin and a countdown. - inspiring_tables is an unofficial revival of the 15kisses, 15kinks, 15woes, and whole_new_world prompt communities.
- writetomyheart is a community that plays fiction "shiritori," taking turns posting short pieces that begin with the end of the previous piece.
- story_works is running a challenge for paranormal fanworks 11/01/19-12/31/20.
- fancake, a community for fanworks and recommendations, has set its November theme to: "soulmates."

greerwatson mused on FK Yuletide nominations, requests, and offers, and pointed out that FK is fast approaching the point at which it will no longer be a "small" fandom by the rules.
