Got any TLOZ fanfic recs...?

I checked every recs comm I know, including fancake, and found just 7 total fanfic recommendations for The Legend of Zelda in all its forms, going back to 2014. Of those, only 2 are gen. (I love gen!) And, curiously, none -- zero -- are canon 'ships. (I like canon ships!)

Now, there is a generous plenty of ~4K TLOZ stories on the AO3 that the filters say are gen, even excluding the "Linked Universe" stuff, so I don't mean to complain. I can and will continue skimming through those, sorted by most kudos, or most bookmarks, or most comment threads, or whatever filterable statistic seems promising.

But. Thoughtful recommendations would be sweet, if folks happen to know where I can find them. Thanks!

The best way I've found is: find an author you like and just go through their bookmarks. Find an author(s) you like in the bookmarks. Wash, rinse, repeat. My bookmarks aren't a bad place to start and I can add some non-bookmarked authors if you're interested.

Heavy BOTW/TOTK bent just because I'm likely reading more recent stuff. But several of the authors write older games; one (I think bahbahhh?) has written a lot of Twilight Princess lately and it's excellent.

Thank you! When I read your reply, I felt deja vu -- as if you'd shared this advice before, and I'd forgotten it because I am just so incredibly used to tiny, inactive fandoms... and had consequently gotten overwhelmed.

Yes, indeed, I shall turn to your bookmarks! And I shall seek the bookmarked author who is lately writing Twilight Princess; that sounds like a magnificent start for me!

(I don't know about the fanfic side of the fandom on this point, but the gamer side is totally devoted to ranking and re-ranking the games. Story-wise, I'm pretty sure TP has my personal top slot for the foreseeable future, with BOTW/TOTK very securely in second place. Minish Cap has third for now, because: world-building, which is how we know how far down the rabbit hole I am...)
