FK Fanfic: "A Matter of Time"
Next in this rolling retrospective is "A Matter of Time." The twist of this story depends on its readers knowing both "Last Knight" and "A More Permanent Hell" fairly well. That did not seem like much to ask six years ago, but I wonder whether now such canon knowledge would indeed be too much to ask. Time passes; things change. What is the custom for assuming canon familiarity in other long-sleeping fandoms?
I'm happy to get to say that this is the fifth most popular story I've ever posted. My thanks to those who have let me know they've read it!

And the suggestions about improving the protein drink... *grin*

She might well have come back to an alternate past, at that! Gracious. You're exactly right, but I honestly hadn't thought of that at the time. I meant her to miss her target time, just before "Last Knight," and to have instead arrived one year early, just before "A More Permanent Hell." (I'm a bit of a canon fanatic, and alternate universes are relatively rare in FK fanfiction, but that really should have occurred to me. Hmmmm. Maybe there can be more FK alternate universes, after all -- pasts and presents, not just futures -- even though the characters we know are so scenario-driven.)
Again, thank you!
