FK fanart (It can happen!)
If we all worked together, do you think that we might muster a roster of excellent Forever Knight fanart works sufficient for a month as a volunteer recommender on
fanart_recs? I'll do the writing and posting, if needed, if together we can gather enough worthy graphics.
FK has always been a primarily text-based fandom, in part because its heyday came and went on dial-up modems. We just didn't have the technology to share pictures. We've had artists, though! Dorothy E. painted some oil portraits. Ann L. drew the covers on my most beloved Susan G. zines. Almost every zine had some original art (heck, I inked two mediocre graphics for the Tojours Lacroix zine myself — no, seriously, I did! a Fleur portrait and a silhouetted Lacroix with a rose; I still have my original watercolor of the Fleur portrait somewhere, but goodness knows where). Remember the gentleman who drew the Forever Janette webcomic a few years ago? And Deire contributed an N&N illustration to FKFicFest in 2013!
If we could gather enough compelling art links in time, we could volunteer for the month of May, and perhaps raise interest on the way into FKFicFest sign-ups...? Just a thought.

But there is some: let me think. (These are recs, right? You're not asking us to whip out a paintbox ourselves?)
Yes, recs
Yes, I'm thinking of recommendations only, not of creating new items. Four recommendations are the minimum required for a monthly sign-up in this community (one per week).
Almost all the artworks recommended in this community are high-quality paintings or drawings. I've seen a few textile/fiber constructs recommended, also. Usually, the rec subjects were archived on Deviantart (which seems presently to be to visual fandom what the AO3 is to narrative fandom). I've never seen a manip recommended, myself, though technically they're permitted; I'd want any recommended manip to be highly transformed (much more than a collage).
From their community statement: "You can rec drawn and painted fanart (whether traditional or digital media), photomanips, sculptures, fiber art, etc. Multimedia works that have a significant fanart component are also okay to rec, e.g. fan comics or story illustrations. You cannot rec fanfic, vids, icons, picture macros, costume designs, or fannish music/audio productions."

Then there are Dorothy Elggren's paintings: these are on her Loftworks website, linked off the index page. They're works in oil: "Nicolas de Brabant", "LaCroix", "Janette", and "Vachon"; the first two are (or were) available as prints. The pictures in the gallery are thumbnails; so click to see them full sized.
I'll see if I can think of any more.

Mmm ... you can check out the rest of what they have here. These are just assorted fanzine illos and covers, and not all qualify as "art" by any means.

You need help finding it? =D

It's not a good enough likeness to merit excitement, I'm afraid. I'm not that good a painter. It's just a pensive young woman with honey-colored hair in a certain blue dress. If a viewer didn't happen to recognize the costume, the viewer wouldn't necessarily know that the subject was Fleur, and therefore that she's supposed to look like Claire Rankin. :-)

It sounds like a beautiful piece of artwork. :)
