FKFicFest 2018 has 2 stories yet to release

We're in the home stretch of [community profile] fkficfest 2018, with just 2 more stories to release (6 are available to read now)!

As usual, I (as moderator) scheduled the longest story of the fest for a weekend day. This comes out of a legacy conviction that most people have more time to read on weekends. Of course, not everyone works or reads on the same days or in the same ways! Is this scheduling habit doing more harm than good? When would best for the longer works, to help the most possible people have time to enjoy them?

For me, it's actually the other way round. I'm out and about on most weekends or entertaining guests, with no time left to settle down and read. I have more leasure to read after work in the evening on workdays.

But I wouldn't consider your scheduling as "doing harm". Releasing FK stories never does that. :) On the contrary, I like to have the anticipation rise, knowing there is a story waiting to be read. It's just the author who has to wait a little longer for feedback.

I don't think it really matters. If a story is particularly long, I'll usually read it in sections as I have time. For me, that's usually late at night after everyone else is asleep, and I can be by myself and I get to savor the story. :-) I appreciate the thought though.
