Blackisbeautifulex fanfic exchange fest
I keep looking longingly at the new
blackisbeautifulex fanfic exchange fest for Black characters.
I don't think that I, personally, should promise to produce a story in less than a month (assignments sent on January 31, due on February 21). But I do so love some too-neglected characters who qualify for this fest, and the sign-up requirements are so light! "You must offer at least 3 fandoms with 1 [qualifying] character."
(Unfortunately, YB has no qualifying characters, although, perhaps curiously, the original series story bible called for Siroc to be a formerly enslaved person. Obviously, that didn't make it into canon. But it may explain why, of them all, only Siroc has not a single dialogue reference to his personal background, as if they simply dropped the subject instead of rewriting it.)

- D&DC: Diana
- BSG78: Boomer
- HL: Charlie, Carl
- FK: Grace, Reese, Bridgette (I'm not counting the 2 otherwise-qualifying unnamed recurring characters, the nurse at Mercy Hospital in first season and the Raven employee in second season)
- Pokemon GO: Candela, Cliff
- Pokemon Black & White: Iris, Lenora
