fkficfest/fkficfest will post its annual preliminary poll this week. Fingers crossed.
rarewomen is taking nominations through February 8. Sign-ups will follow. (At the time of this posting, FK has been nominated, but could still use more character nominations.)
shipswap is taking sign-ups through February 10.
remixers_lounge promises a 2014 game.
bestthingever is recommending the best of 2013 throughout February 2014.
fancake is recommending "gateway" fanworks ("the perfect introduction") this round.
fanart_recs needs volunteers to make recommendations!
het_reccers needs volunteers to make recommendations!
gensplosion is a multifandom recommendation community for gen fanfic.
fandom_stocking brought much fun, including four new FK stories.
Yuletide 2013 brought much joy, including one new FK story.

Fanfiction
6 FK works on the AO3 currently show January 2014 as their publication date. 1 is a new drabble. 1 is a multifandom crossover. 3 are stories from this year's FandomStocking. 1 is a noteworthy repost from FKFic-L days.

Meta (Essays, Analysis, Discussion)

January saw two posts chatting about FKFic-L War XV (still in progress!), one locked and one that was public when I saw it, but which has since apparently been deleted. Curious!
In December (but I read it in January!), arduinna essayed delightfully about FK as her first fandom. Ooodles of nostalgia.
In late December, havocthecat directed me to a lovely Brabantine reliquary "Crib of the Infant Jesus" (15th century) on the website of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
