We've reached 8 sign-ups for fkficfest/fkficfest 2015!

I suspect that there may be one or more people hoping that we don't reach 9, and thus that we play challenge-style instead of exchange-style after all. I understand! :-) But just make sure that you don't miss getting to play entirely if you wait too long, and someone slips in that ninth sign-up right at the wire!

(The more players, the better the matches. That's why we had to set a threshold. You know how it goes: one person simply cannot write, say, Reese, while the next person's prompts all star Reese. Perils of exchange-style games.)

It's getting excited. Whatever style we end up playing, I'm looking forward to starting writing.

If I may admit it -- speaking only as a tired private individual and not in my official capacity as moderator! -- I'm looking forward to reaching the other side of this phase of the game, one way or the other. ~wry~ I've posted announcements to more communities than ever before, with more follow-ups than ever before, addressing many hundreds of people, and we haven't won even nine. It's a bit dispiriting.

I'm glad all your hard efforts in advertising the game were rewarded. I admit, when sign-ups were still slow last week, during a longer car ride I started contemplating on the challenge prompt from various perspectives. And no spontaneous idea came to mind. So I'm glad we end up with the exchange. Although I'm sure, some plot idea would have popped up with still more contemplation eventually. It was a good prompt with many possibilities.
