FK Recently: What You Guys Have Been Up To (10/1/20-11/1/20)
For the month of October, in my corners of social journaling, here are the Forever Knight items that I happened to see:
Ficathons, fests & communities that welcome FK
ushobwri, the "You Should Be Writing" community, has plans to support writers through NaNoWriMo, Yuletide, and all.
what_ho_library is a new historical resources community, for writers of fic set in "England and America," 1900-1940. (I would presume they meant all of the UK, Canada, and Ireland, also, but "England and America" is what they wrote.)
goodintentionswipfest is a fest for "perpetually unfinished and discontinued" works.
beyondthealgorithm is a fandom recommendations exchange. Sign-ups to November 7, due December 27.
smallfandombang is a big bang challenge for small fandoms. Sign-ups to November 30.
heroinebigbang is a 5K or 10K-word challenge focused on a female character. Sign-ups to December 31, due March 31.
fixedthatforyou_fest, a prompt game for improving "what if"s, accepts fills through November 28.
fancake's November round features "favorite fanworks." (Trapped on a desert island without internet? What do you wish you had printed out?)
- Winter holiday events:
mistletoe_exchange is a shippy exchange for kissing under the mistletoe. Sign-ups to November 2, due December 9, revealed December 21.
yuletide_admin has some traffic about associated collections, challenges, and genres. Due December 18.
holiday_horror_admin represents a multifandom fanworks exchange for fandoms classified as "horror." Nominations to November 12, sign-ups to November 28, due 12/31.
FK fanfiction & other fanworks
Archive of our Own (AO3) Summary: 1 of the 1,082 FK works on the AO3 shows a posting date in this period.

FK news & conversation
- 10/19:
nicholas_lucien shared that Stratford Festival is bringing back Thursday watch parties, including "All the Sonnets of Shakespeare," with readings by Ijeoma Emesowum and GWD. Starts December 17. Read the post.
