HL exchange '21 sign-ups start Friday (run 1 week only)

Per amand_r, sign-ups for this year's hlh_shortcuts HL fanfic exchange will open on Friday, October 1, and close on Thursday, October 7. Read the announcement.

This is just one week! Seven days! Mark your calendar, set a reminder...? I gather that several folks accidentally missed out on retrotvexchange because the sign-ups were only one week, and that was after two weeks of nominations. (No nominations in HLHShortcuts: it's still a classic, artisanal, hand-matched exchange. It does post to and reveal on the AO3 now, but manually, with thanks to amand_r.)

I do intend to sign-up. I've been thinking, on and off this year, about how to write better sign-ups; I hope that thought will pay off for my HLHShortcuts match.

Signups for Shortcuts are exponentially easier than for retrotv. Mostly, all I'm going to do is c&p last year's signup.
