Playing FK Fiction Finder
I received an email from Kelly G. asking after an FK story she almost remembers, but not quite enough to track down, and which she'd like to read again. I didn't know it off the top of my head; do you? Here's how she describes it:
It does almost sound familiar. Perhaps I read it, but I perceived the aspect she describes as a subplot, and something else as the main plot? Or perhaps I never read it at all. (I did recommend that she ask on ForKni-L.)
Addendum 11/13/10: Kelly asked on ForKni-L, and the list answered: It's "Knight Lights" by J. L. Kerr, the main plot of which concerns Nick and Tracy searching for a pyromaniac.
"...a longer story, set during the third season, when LaCroix was broadcasting his show out of the Raven. In this story, one of his listeners began to stalk him. It was a young man, and he started to dress like LaCroix. He showed up at the Raven every night, wanting to watch LaCroix and I think wanting LaCroix to notice him ... eventually he did become aware of this fan. ...[T]here was another plotline involving some murders, and I think somehow these two plots met up towards the end."
