Ficathons, Fests and Communities

• fandom_stocking, a no-commitment multi-fandom event, will reveal its gifts on 01/06 (4 FK wishes).
• rarewomen, the exchange ficathon for rare female characters in large fandoms(e.g. HL) and any in small ones (e.g. FK), updated its schedule and nominations information and added a DW rarewomen_feed. Nominations open on 01/07.

Fanfiction
9 FK works on the AO3 currently show December 2011 publication dates. (2 come from Yuletide. 1 comes from FKFicFest. 4 are crossovers with HL. Only the Yuletide ones are truly new, but perhaps the older ones are new to you!)

Meta (Chatter, Discussion and Essays)

• 12/30: sholio's year-in-review notes that her 2011 FKFicFest story was her first FK story.
• 12/28: hearts_blood posted a kiss-fic-offer meme in which FK is eligible.
• 12/25: senmut recommended "The Cross" (~1K words, Yuletide), then anonymous, now revealed as greerwatson's.
• 12/16: mysticalcat7 announced adding forty digests (04/14/96-05/01/96) to the forkni-l archive, and shared a list of the number of archived digests per year 2000-2011.
• 12/04: [Locked] mentioned Lacroix when discussing Boss.

Actors

• 12/26: [Locked] said that Nick Knight (the '89 Rick Springfield pilot) will be re-released on DVD on 01/10 as part of a double-bill with The Gladiator (on Amazon).
• 12/22: [Locked] said that the Stratford "60th Season Guide" has GWD on the cover as Henry V.

Airings
Chiller has not scheduled FK for January or February. Boo!

yay! Nick Knight! we can toss our VERRRRRY old VHS tape (which admittedly we hang onto for nostalgia's sake, as well as the pithy note directed toward the partner chick's ex on the sleeve) which we could play on the VCR if we ever hooked it up.

we're far more likely to watch a dvd, however.

NK on DVD

Nick Knight has actually been out on a standalone DVD for years (Amazon), but it's out of print ("print"?). I own a copy; I didn't realize you didn't! Please let me know if you would like to borrow it.
