What about a player "roll call"?

Last year, I disappeared from fandom for several months almost immediately after [community profile] fkficfest/[livejournal.com profile] fkficfest. This was for unavoidable Real Life reasons, but it meant that I didn't recap all the game's stories here on my own journal as I usually do. I still feel bad about that. I've been pondering trying to do some form of that now, during the writing phase of this year's game, perhaps reviewing one-by-one last year's stories written by people who are playing again this year, or some other way of making it not too big a job, and yet also not such as might perhaps hurt feelings through cherry-picking, say, only stories written for my own prompts, or only starring my own favorite characters, or whatever other self-indulgence. :-)

As I thought about this, it occurred to me to post — on [community profile] fkficfest/[livejournal.com profile] fkficfest itself, not here on my own journal — an introductory "team line-up" series: one post per 2014 player per day for nine days, with "stats" including in which past FKFicFest(s) she/he has played, and links to all previous FKFicFest stories she/he has written.

Would that be interesting to see on the community, and perhaps help keep the game in mind and build momentum? Or would it be intrusive, unappealing or unpleasant? What do you think?

Go for it! I missed reading most of last year's stories for my own RL reasons. While I certainly know where the stories are and have the ability to go read them at any time, I ... don't. I should, but I don't. Having the attention drawn to them individually would be a powerful impetus to read them.

Sure! Sounds good to me.

Like argentum, I missed a lot of older stories too. But even if I hadn't, I'd still think it'd be awesome to have a "roll call" to celebrate our fifth year.
