Natpacker Icons

Some time back, [livejournal.com profile] wiliqueen mentioned in passing that she would like a Natpacker icon.  I made a batch, and promised to put up for grabs those she didn't choose for herself.  Here they are!   If you pick one up, please let me know, and credit as appropriate.  Constructive criticism is also welcome.

I really like the icons! They're well done!

Thank you very much!

>"~A True Cousin~"

I'm a Knightie, of course.

Years and years ago, I co-founded the "Light Cousin" faction. But I later decided that I did not enjoy the "shades of affiliation" approach, and now I stick with Nick for my faction needs. I enjoy all the characters, regardless!

Really? Okay, I admit, when I came into the FK fandom I belonged to the "Dark Knighties". But then, after LaCroix appeared more often in the 2nd season, I became not only a Cousin but also a CotK (ran a fanlisting).

I love that the FK story is complex and mature enough to support so many interpretations and preferences! We all have favorites, but none of the thoughtful approaches exclude any of the others.

So, yes, it sounds like I have the affiliation "opposite" yours, Knightie with Light Cousin tendencies to Cousin with Dark Knightie tendencies. :-) I had some wonderful conversations with Marcia T., founder of the Dark Knighties, back in the day, though we rarely agreed. I haven't thought of her in a while; I wonder what she got up to after she wandered out of FK.

Marcia T., yes, of course I remember her well. You know I often wonder what happen to all the 'old' fans who had disappeared years ago.
What I like most of the FK fandom is the fact that it is still so active after so many years. Perhaps not really on the main list, but here as well as on a few other sites/boards.
Yeah!

There are so many people around that I feel like I should know. And sometimes it turns out I do, and I feel like an idiot -- there have been a couple headsmack moments when I made the connection!

Look at all the pretty icons!

What I find so appealing about your icons is that you're not afraid to use color and use fun fonts. That really makes them stand out and these are no exception.

I'm particularly fond of 1, 8, 9, 10, and 11.

It cracks me up that the morgue skeleton is in the background of #4 and the 'Natpacker Sleepover' in #5 is so much fun.

#9 is probably my favorite although it is hard to pick just one. I love that you got the crazy ball cap from "Dark Knight" and those very odd bright yellow gloves. Was she preparing to wash dishes or conduct and autopsy, lol.

Thank you very much for your generous, supportive comments about my icons! I appreciate it. This is definitely a new craft to me, and I know I have a lot to learn.

I'm trying to work up some Janette ones now. It should be her turn. :-)
