For the month of February, in my corners of social journaling, here are the Forever Knight items that I happened to see:

Ficathons, fests and communities that welcome FK

• fkficfest, the FK ficathon community, announced the 2017 pre-game poll results.
  • Sign-ups will start no later than March 11.
  • Sign-ups will close at 11:59PM Pacific on March 24 (or maybe noon the next day).
  • Stories will be due May 27.
• halfamoon, the annual 2-week celebration of female characters, has wrapped up. (I don't know whether any FK characters appeared this year.)
• pbam, the "porn battle" fiction amnesty community, is accepting fills through March 15.
• onedeadplotbunny, a support/motivation creativity community, opened its latest round in February (no deadlines, no sign-ups).

• 2/01: pj1228 noted several actor appearances:
  • Geraint Wyn Davies on stage in Liv Stein in Toronto (ran through February 12)
  • Nigel Bennett on stage in The Audience in Toronto (ran through February 26)
  • Nigel Bennett on screen in xXx3 - The Return of Xander Cage (premiered on January 5)

The German stories

First time I read FK in German. I really enjoyed the stories so far and hope the author won't let me wait too long for the next chapters.

It was very interesting to see those two stories turn up in German on the AO3. Some fandoms have very diverse fanfic languages, yet FK has been all but mono-lingual there.

I generally don't read fanfic works in progress (WIPs) because I've had poor experiences with them never getting finished. I wish this writer and her readers good luck finishing well!

When I started reading the first story (Schmetterling und Nachtfalter) I hadn't noticed that it was incomplete until I came to the point where it ended in the middle. Then I started on the second story out of curiosity. Both stories were updated within a week from me noticing them. So I assumed we might get updates on a weekly basis. However, meanwhile it's been 2 weeks since the last update.

I haven't left a comment yet, because I wanted to wait until the work was complete, but maybe I should, so that the author knows someone is actually reading and encourage continuation.

I also wondered whether I know the author. You know, we have this loose circle of friends who meet regularly. Our next meeting is scheduled for April. I'll ask around then.
