2012 FKFicFest Survey Open 01/17-01/31

I've posted the 2012 preparatory survey on fkficfest/fkficfest (for the annual Forever Knight ficathon game).  The poll will stay open through 01/31/12.  If you're a community member — all FK fans are invited! click to join! — please stop by there and share your preferences and suggestions for making this year's game fun and smooth for all.

Our excuse for this year's celebration is the twentieth anniversary of CBS first broadcasting "Dark Knight."  Tuesday, May 5, 1992.  And then "Dark Knight, the Second Chapter" aired the very next night, thanks to the "Crimetime After Primetime" format.  (Yep, FK had a spring premiere, back when that was highly unusual.)  Wow!

By the way, do you know of a fest that's used the AO3 to release stories over time, instead of all at once?  I've been trying to combine existing options to "hotwire" a measured release there.  (People seem to have more fun in fests that stretch over time.)

Nick/Urs Christmas Ficlet for Me by Hearts-Blood

In December, hearts_blood offered "Kiss-Fic."  I requested "Forever Knight, Nick/Urs, the twelve days of Christmas, '95-'96."

Late last week, she treated me to an untitled ficlet (G, ~600 words) in reply.  "He let Urs sleep in his loft sometimes, when she got tired of the Raven."  I think I may be the only Les Miserables (i.e. Nick/Urs) partisan, so I am triply gladdened when generous people not only write FK, and for me, but with my favorite rare pairing!*  I am tickled by her tucked-in answer to how Urs, in "Ashes to Ashes," has Nick's door code.
