Ficathons and Fests

Sign-ups for oldschoolfic's winter ficathon continue through tomorrow, Tuesday 11/30 (this is the canceled-fandoms community). Matches go out 12/01; stories are due 01/31/11. FK and HL are eligible. I'm playing.
fandom_stocking is on! This is a no-commitment game, a bit like a "love meme." You post a list of things you like; people respond with warm wishes, recommendations, vignettes, icons, whatever. (Naturally, respond to others if you can!) The reveal is 01/06/11. All fandoms are eligible. I'll play.

Fanfiction

On 11/24, cousinmary posted a thorough rewrite of her old "Brown Paper Packages Tied Up With String," starring Natalie and Lacroix.
On 11/22, hyper_roo posted "Gamer" (rated M) on fk_fanfiction.
On 11/14, hyper_roo began posting a WIP "season four" AU, "Reawakening," on fk_fanfiction, with part two the next day.
On 11/02, lastscorpion posted her FK/SGA crossover "Winter Stars" (PG), starring Lacroix, in intoabar. (Later, she posted to FKFic-L and last_writes.) I got to beta!

Actors

On 11/15, pj1228 announced that Catherine Disher won the Gemini for Best Supporting Actress (Drama) for her work as Maggie on The Border!
On 10/31, under lock, someone linked to a YouTube video of the Stratford Peter Pan cast, including Nigel Bennett, doing "YMCA". (Reportedly, a cast member uploaded the video.)

Meta/Miscellaneous

On 11/29, havocthecat played the "Holiday Wish List" meme, with several FK wishes.
On 11/29, havocthecat played the "Fandom Characters" meme, and was asked about Natalie.
On 11/23, cousinmary played the "Fanfic By Me" meme with FK content.
On 11/22, hyper_roo requested beta-reading help with a Tracy emphasis.
On 10/30, ithildyn opined that Lost Girl reminds her of FK, a little.
