Ficathons, fests & communities that welcome FK

• spook_me sign-ups close on 09/15. Stories come due on 10/26.
• trickortreatex nominations close on 09/08 and sign-ups on 09/18. Stories come due on 10/24 for release on 10/31.
• fallintofallfestival is a promptfest with an unusual structure: prompt collection until 09/15, and then prompt fills until 10/15, and a prize for the person who fills the most prompts.
• launchtheship is a challenge to create the very first story on the AO3 about any 'ship that has no stories (yet). Sign-ups remain open until the due date, 10/15.
• elasticella is hosting a sleep-themed promptfest ending 09/30.
• multifandomtropefest is an exchange matched on tropes. Sign-ups are open through 09/11.
• retrotvfest, a sibling to retrotvexchange, is open for prompts and fills until 10/09.
• fancake's September round's theme is "crack."

Halloween!  spook_me is a multifandom Halloween ficathon on both LJ and DW (no fandom restrictions).  To play, sign up with your chosen fandom and a horror creature, receive two prompts in the form of horror-comics covers, and write a story featuring one of your prompts with your creature in your fandom.

Crossovers!  xover_exchange is a multi-fandom crossover exchange game on LJ only (FK is not invited; HL is).  To play, sign up with at least five fandoms from their master list that you like to read and at least four that you can write, plus your prompts; receive a match slate submitted by someone who requested to read at least two of the fandoms you said you could write; write a crossover.

Vampires! At Halloween!  last_writes's "Trick or Treatise" ficathon is a Halloween game in the DW community for out-of-production vampire fandoms (so FK yes, HL no).  It is prompt-claiming style (same as the current femme_fic round).  People may submit prompts without intending to write (though of course they'd be happiest if many people write!).
