Ficathons, fests & communities that welcome FK

• spook_me sign-ups close on 09/15. Stories come due on 10/26.
• trickortreatex nominations close on 09/08 and sign-ups on 09/18. Stories come due on 10/24 for release on 10/31.
• fallintofallfestival is a promptfest with an unusual structure: prompt collection until 09/15, and then prompt fills until 10/15, and a prize for the person who fills the most prompts.
• launchtheship is a challenge to create the very first story on the AO3 about any 'ship that has no stories (yet). Sign-ups remain open until the due date, 10/15.
• elasticella is hosting a sleep-themed promptfest ending 09/30.
• multifandomtropefest is an exchange matched on tropes. Sign-ups are open through 09/11.
• retrotvfest, a sibling to retrotvexchange, is open for prompts and fills until 10/09.
• fancake's September round's theme is "crack."

It looks like trickortreatex, a Halloween fanwork exchange, is gearing up for its traditional September 1 opening of nominations. (The moderator opened the tagset early to do some disambiguation and other maintenance.)

This exchange has a 300-word minimum for stories. Visual art on unlined paper is also welcome. To go with the holiday, there's a "trick" (like: horror, occult, or scary) or "treat" (like: sweet, sexy, or fluffy) theming.

Because of work, I can never seem to carve out any time in October. But I do love Halloween.
