brightknightie: Nick and his remote control (Remote Control)
I just learned that Forever Knight is no longer available on Hulu.  From there, I hit Crackle (Sony's Hulu), and learned that they are now blocking my access to FK based on "geographic restrictions" (I'm in the US).  And of course Chiller is once again making no room in its schedule.

FK is still available for purchased streaming on Amazon (US) Instant Video (my guess is that it also comes free with their Prime service).  I looked at Netflix, but I don't subscribe to them and I can't tell from their external "browse" feature whether they have FK streaming, or DVD only.

I still cherish FK on DVD (and should we talk about the VHS tapes in the closet?) but many people now seem greatly to favor streaming over hard-copy media of any kind.  The last four people (two couples) I introduced to FK unanimously preferred watching Hulu to borrowing my spare Region 1 DVD set; they insisted that they found commercials less intrusive than handling DVDs.  Regardless, it looks like it's time to return to loaning out DVDs, and giving them as gifts, when there's an opportunity to share the story and bring someone across.

Addendum: Thanks to [personal profile] celli, we know that Netflix has FK on DVD only (no streaming).
