I see that

fandomaid is doing buy-it-now fundraising for Typhoon Haiyan aid to the Philippines. I don't have time to make a writing offer myself (unless you're very patient) but I am perhaps in a position to "buy" one story with a donation; are there any authors' offers remaining that I should check out? FK, HL, YB, original BSG...?

This is the first time that I've logged into this account since, I think, August. My apologies to anyone I've worried, and my gratitude to those who checked on me! I'm fine; thank you. ( Life happens )

And I'm back! I'm not rewinding all the way to August to catch up — so please do drop me a link here if I've missed something that you'd like me to know or see! — but I did go back as many "previous" clicks as my flist/circle pages would take me today. I owe replies to at least two people, recommendations for

fkficfest throughout, and a beta to a third person; my emphatic apologies most of all to that beta-awaiting person!

Live fannish status? I've read hardly anything besides the NYT these past months (only three books, one of them an old favorite), but I am up to date on Sleepy Hollow, Agents of SHIELD, Grimm, Person of Interest, Once Upon a Time, The Paradise and Call the Midwife. I've seen Thor: The Dark World. I'm only a few episodes behind in Doctor Who, and I'm cynical at the BBC poll for the "best" Doctor giving the top spots to the most recent actors. I haven't seen the new Dracula or Reign and probably won't. I've been feeling HLish...

My fandom hobby time will remain more limited than I'd like for the foreseeable future (although I may be able to get in some happy hours at the winter holidays). I'll strive to spend my precious hobby time wisely and well, and with all of you. I have indeed missed you ... and fandom!
