It looks like

trickortreatex, a Halloween fanwork exchange, is gearing up for its traditional September 1 opening of nominations. (The moderator opened the tagset early to do some disambiguation and other maintenance.)

This exchange has a 300-word minimum for stories. Visual art on unlined paper is also welcome. To go with the holiday, there's a "trick" (like: horror, occult, or scary) or "treat" (like: sweet, sexy, or fluffy) theming.

Because of work, I can never seem to carve out any time in October. But I do love Halloween.
