The Stratford Festival is doing something amazing. Online. Where we can all enjoy it.
leela_cat brought it to my attention. There's now a banner on their site, an announcement on Facebook, and news pick-up (including this CTV article).
Stratford is giving us all a free season online, streaming 12 previously-filmed Shakespeare performances! April 23 through July 30, 2020.
Each play was originally filmed during a single live performance in front of a full audience. In this event, each will premiere with a 7:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) "viewing party" and will then continue to be available, free, for 3 weeks afterwards.
