Wow! How is it October already? Well, for the month of September, in my corners of social journaling, here are the Forever Knight items that I happened to see:

Ficathons, fests & communities that welcome FK

• comment_bingo, a bingo challenge where you comment (rather than create), has opened its second round, which runs through January 2023.
• ladiesbingo, a bingo fic challenge focused on female characters' relationships, has opened its tenth round, with posting through March 2023.
• womansplace, a prompt fest focused on women characters, is open for prompts through October 30 and fills through November 4.
• multifandompostcardexchange, a Tumblr/snail-mail community, has opened its annual "Holiday Cheer" event with recipient sign-ups through October 15 and sender sign-ups and submissions through November 7.
• allbingo's October theme is "Fall Fest," to "celebrate the motifs of autumn."
• fancake's October theme is "politics."

Let's celebrate 30 years of Highlander: The Series (with fanworks!)

rhi has launched a prompt-fest event at hl_chronicles to celebrate the 30^th anniversary of Highlander: The Series. She quotes Kastagir: "I think we should hold a party." The event will run the length of a traditional North American television season, now through May 2023.

• Any type of HL prompt is welcome. If you prefer a theme, Rhi recommends "anniversaries" or "notable dates" of all kinds.


• Post prompts on the prompt-post, one to a reply, with a subject line of the character(s) prompted. (We already have ~40 prompts!)


• Any type of HL fanwork fill is welcome. Fic, art, crafts, pods, vids. Novels, drabbles, poems, scripts, filks. No minimums, maximums, etc.
  
  
  
  • Put the requested character name in the subject line of your reply to the prompt.
  
  
  • Post your creation directly in the replies to the prompt-post, or at the AO3, or your DW or LJ or wherever. (Rhi plans to create an AO3 collection soon.)
