FKFicFest '25 prompts have been announced

fkficfest elected prompts are up. Check them out. I announced 5 prompts (instead of 3) so that the pool would include at least one top-4 choice for everyone who voted (not that voting binds you to a prompt!). Maybe, next year, we should go back to first-past-the-post voting with eliminations.
Perhaps interestingly, "found among the second-hand books" came first via eliminating all the prompts that got zero first-place votes, but second when I didn't eliminate for not having first-place votes. Our final list is the promised ranked-choice method, but the comparison methods against which I checked it both largely agreed on the set, though not the order; the differences would have been "Nick is shot in front of his partner" or "Blast from the past" replacing "A lucky break, a chance meeting, and a friend in need."
