• fandomtrees, a multifandom gifting fest, still has sign-ups through December 7. Gifting runs through January 4. (FK is not yet among the tags this year.)
• eventcentral has a challenge called "The Cocktail Hour," where participants get the name of a mixed drink as a prompt. Stories due December 30.
• gdgdbaby is running an anonymous love meme for well-wishes and holiday cheer through December 31.
• hogwartstoalexandria is running an 18+ "year end, year start"-themed prompt comment-fest through January 31.
• vocab_drabbles is a multifandom challenge community for small responses, either 50-1K words fanfic or 1 sentence meta.
• genprompt_bingo has started its 23rd round, which runs December-March. As always, the prompts are gen; the fills may be anything.

• sunflower_auction is a fanworks auction fundraiser for Ukraine. Creator sign-ups through 5/10, bids through 5/30, works due 6/10.
• intoabar sign-ups are open through 5/16; stories due by 6/19. This is the crossover challenge where you sign up with one character and four fandoms, and get an assignment for that character and a surprise other character from any of those fandoms to "walk into a bar" and meet.
• hogwartstoalexandria hosts a "Merry Month of Drabbles" (100 words exactly) event through 5/31.

Today, Vulture.com posted: "Forever Knight Is the Best Vampire Cop Show Ever Made (in Canada)" by Naomi Skwarna.

You may enjoy reading it! She knows what she's talking about, says it sassily, and more than merely name-checks Ger and Parriot. A few excerpts:

"...a certain candlelit, Vaseline-y haze that elicited the feeling, if not the reality, of a saxophone solo — a soft-goth Canadiana aesthetic..."
